Hello -

How much micro managing will be in the game? As much as I love a good city builder, there are some little things I wish we could control.

Traffic flow / intersection and lights. My biggest hang up is that most of these game don't let you create dedicated lanes for buses, trucks, left turn center lanes, or "turn around" islands like some states have.

Also, the tax system is very restricted in these games as well. It would be nice to be able to control what is taxed besides how much each type of industry is taxed.

Maybe too complicated but something that would make the game interesting.

I'm all for micro management, but make them optional, some people don't want to bother with certain things other wants, ticket prices in CiM2 is a good example of something that I personally wanted to be automatic.

oh yeah... those tickets.. would've been VERY helpful if you could set it to automatically always have a "green" price range on the ticket or something

Never played CiM2 so I don't know what you mean.... in SC there were prices you could set for events if you had a stadium or concert hall. I thought it was annoying so I stopped using them.

The other thing I didn't like about the tax system in SC was that if you changed an industries tax, then you get all kinds of complaints about unfair tax rates... so if you set one high, you had to set the others the same amount.

Automated or manual would be a nice setting for taxes...along with all the different things that could be taxed..or what a tax could be used for. THAT would be fun.

Yes. The ability to delegate funds from taxes is part of a Mayors job. I don't like how SC just has a general rate. It would be nice to be able to experiment with taxes and see how it would affect your city. I live in Michigan. The city of Detroit is a mess. It would be cool if there was a campaign in the game where your job was to fix the city. Of course you'd have to get rid of the city council first, lol. Crooks.

It would also be nice to custom build some of the areas. Put a gas station on a corner, a qwik mart near a neighborhood. A bar... That sorta thing.
