MIA mods

I downloaded a couple of mods for CKII and when I went to start the game up afterward, they were nowhere to be found on the launcher. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

did you extract them from the rar and place them in your mod directory?

I have them in the CKII Mod folder but, and I hope you will forgive my illiteracy in this respect, I don't know what you mean by "extracting from the rar." Two of the mods were in ZIP folders, which I unzipped and put in the mod folder. However, they do not show up either.

Ok, so I unzipped everything (took me a moment, but I got there) and all the mods are in the "mod" folder, yet, when I start CKII, no mods appear in the launcher.

Here's the file path, just so someone can tell me what is wrong

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\crusader kings ii\mod

Again, any help would be appreciated.

Yes unzipped. Sorry. Now just to confirm for each mod their are two files that you copied from the .zip's one is a folder. another is a .mod

you need the .mod file in the mod folder to.

there's a .mod file in each folder, it originally showed up as a movie file (didn't show in the launcher), I converted it to where notepad opened the file (still a .mod though, didn't show in the launcher). I have no clue on where to go from here.

if it's in each folder, that's the issue: the .mod files should be in the mod folder.
