When we're at it: Ostrolv Beringa should be named Ostrov Beringa. Ostrov is a peninsula in most slavic languages. Ostrolv does not mean anything.
Cheers

F

Same stuff happened in "Las Palmas" islands (Near Spanish West Sahara)

Also Sea Fortifications is on sea instead land in "Cap Verde Islands" (Portugal islands west of west Africa).

And a question, is ability to build coalstal fortifications in coastal provinces that dont have that bananas for landings bug or normal?

If it is bug, Spain and Portugal are full of them.

Coastal fort coordinates

1.05c: Another misplaced coastal fort: the Greek island of Mitilini (prov 2152) has a coastal fort that looks like it is in the nearby Turkish province Bursa. Might be tough to fit it actually on the island though.

My girlfriend, Yuit Sum Vong, is from Ipoh in Malaysia. Looking at this in HOI last night, she says that the resources in this and the adjacent province Kota Baharu are the wrong way round. Kota Baharu apparently has lots of rubber while Ipoh has nothing. In reality, the area around Ipoh has lots of rubber plantations while Kota Baharu is much less developed, being mostly jungle and fishing villages. Ipoh was then also a major centre for tin-mining - another strategic resource.

A cursory glance at this page would show you the solution about three posts back :) I'm sure Vulture will include this in the next release.

Sorry, sorry....Steel&company :( . I promise you i will check my posts in the future ;)

Nevertheless, i've got another one:

The same conditions that my previous post, about four posts back :)p ), but now i was trying to move my infantry unit from Akita to Sea of Japan. My unit went to Niigata, though, and then to my transport ship.

PD: Please, Steel, don't tell me there is a solution a few posts back in this thread....... :p

Use 1.05c which is available for download in the stickied threads by Johan, both in the General Discussions and in this forum. It's fixed there.

We're (spanish guys) not sure about this one.....

This map bug (or not) has been reported in the spanish forum by Wittman.

1.05c, no mods.

Here is the question:

Are Ostroleka (Poland) and Bialystok provinces connected by land?. If you take a look in the map you will see that they aren't or so it seems but you can move troops from one to another without problem. Any idea?. Maybe the river in Ostroleka is indeed connected to Bialystok?. We're not sure about this

MP In Canadian Provinces

Vancouver, St. John's Ft. George, and Havre St-Pierre have MP of zero. All these should have at least one or two and Vancouver should be higher. Maybe about 4 like Quebec? Maybe a Canadian can help.

--------------------------------------------
Sep 20/2003 10:54 PM by McNaughton:
Here are the population demographics for Canadian provinces in 1931 (very close to 1936 numbers)
Alberta: 731 000

British Columbia: 694 000

Manitoba: 700 000

New Brunswick: 408 000

Northwest Territories: 9000

Nova Scotia: 513 000

Ontario: 3 431 000

Prince Edward Island: 88 000

Quebec: 2 875 000

Saskatchewan: 921 000

Yukon: 4000

As you can see, the population of the 1930s was different than that of today. The Prarie Provinces had a higher population base than British Columbia, and Vancouver was not quite as important of a city then. I have always actually felt that Canada had overestimated amounts of MP in HoI, even in Ontario and Quebec. The province with the most MP in HoI for Canada should be HALIFAX, since it contains 3 provinces (Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with a combined population of 1 000 000 concentrated in just one territory). I might have a look in game later and come up with some modified MP ratings.

infra/territory tweak around Manchuria

It seems I posted in wrong thread as I received no responce from official moderator.

http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=108202

I'm not sure if the issue I'll write here has been discussed before. But I'll have to try.
I don't know if it's gamey WAD modification or not, but I found some mistakes/underrated value around Manchurian provinces.

1. Railway
Reference:
http://www.hkrs.org.hk/members/crush/CER_1.htm

A) Wrong Route:Siberian Railway
Siberia Railway doesn't run through Borzja and Tahe, but Tjita.

Suggestion:
1)Upgrade infra of Tjita to 50
2)Downgrade infra of Tahe to 34

B) Not considered ?: Chinese Eastern Railway
Russia constructed Chinese Eastern Railway in Manchuria. It connected Tjita and Vladivostok via Harbin. It was finished earlier than northern route(current SR in game). In 1935, Russia ceded all CER to Japan.

Suggestion:
Upgrade infra of Hailar, Oroqen Zizhiqi, Qiqihar, and Jixi to 50

C) Not considered ?: South Manchurian Railway

Chinese Eastern Railway's sub route ran from Harbin to Dalian, though it was taken by/sold to Japan later after Russo-Japanese War. Japan poured large sum to enhance South Manchurian Railway. In 1934, Asia Express Train began to run from Dalian to Changchun(it was extended to Harbin next year). It could run 130 kph in operative speed, and regarded the fastest train in the world.

Suggestion: Upgrade infra of Harbin, Changchun, Mukden, and Dalian to 60 or greater

2. Territory
Reference:
http://www.courses.fas.harvard.edu/~hsa74/

A) Should we treat Manchukuo as a nation?
Manchukuo put her defence in Japanese charge. Japanese army garrisoned all along Manchuria-Soviet Union border. Considering Japanese-Manchukuon relation/interaction, it may be better for us to give Japan all Manchuria as annexed province(like British domination over India Empire). If human Japanese player wants to found independent Manchukuo, he can liberate puppet her now(thanks to 1.05c feature!).

If not, it may be better to make Manchukuon Manchukuon-Russian border provinces under Japanese occupation(like Manchukuon-Chinese border). It'll work better for AI, as AI NEVER garrison inside other nations' territory.

Please regard

EDIT: Remove Nationalty Eratta.
