Merging an old account?

Ah, the problems you run into when you want to pick up a game you last played a decade ago.

I have EU3 Complete and registered on this forum maybe 8-10 years ago, but I think I may have registered on this forum with an email address that I had 10 years ago, which has since changed. The username of the email is still the same, but it's changed from @comcast.net to @verizon.net. I've also gotten a new PC since then, so if I did register on steam (was it around 10 years ago? I think it was Gamespy back then?). I don't even remember what my old username was, just the email. If merged, I'd like to keep the current username.

Also, sending the password reset email to my old email address won't work. I tried it with my current address, but didn't get any email.

Did you try filing a ticket with all the informations at paradox.zendesk.com ?

That account would have been on the old forums, not these. It cannot be merged into this account as you've already given it a forum name. If you make a new Paradox account with the same email as that old forum account you can merge it into that ... as long as the old account's forum name is different from the one you've used here.

Or you can just continue to use this account instead. Any Steam games will be registered to this account if you link and sync your Paradox and Steam accounts; any non-Steam gams will need to be manually registered for you by Paradox.

Guess I'll use this. Wouldn't make sense to use the old email, as I no longer have it. I just remember having to register the game somewhere on here. Also, I guess that explains a lot of broken links when I was searching for the old savestate editor (the thread mentioned an EU Save Suite, but the link seems broken).
