For the love of God, could we PLEASE get an option to disband a mercenary company after they next come off contract?! The current system of having to abuse inheritance mechanics to "scoop" the money ((which doesn't work well at all for one of the groups who it seems most thematically appropriate for, Republics)), or having to constantly eagle eye watch for your two day opening in between contracts is incredibly annoying.

Just...please...a button that allows us to disband it after the current contract ends. Is that too much?

Abusing the game should not work well... What are you after? Free mercs?

ive been using them as a free standing army, cities got buffed vs castles heavly with this technique.

I've never seen this before. Please explain.

The ability to create dynamic mercenary company that comes with conclave, The availible unit types that it can be reinforced with are light infantry, light cavalry, heavy infantry, pikemen, heavy cavalry. Its easy to put your heir as the captain of that company, and when he inherits your titles he takes all the gold from the company with him back to the realm he starts to rule. the mercenary captains have almost nothing to spend the gold on and the reinformenets from lost units cost nothing. The gold that is spent on the mercenary band maintenance goes into the tresury of the captain - the % that goes back to the sponsor.

So you mean once I've created the merc band and built it up i can make my heir leader. Then the band is at that point free once my heir inherits? Do i also get the money from building it up back or is that lost?

EDIT; I stopped bothering with the feature about two DLCs back. Seemed like i could never get the band to stick around through succession and it never paid enough to be a worthwhile investment.

1.] Yes, but it is only "maintenance free"
2.] The cost to reinforce the mercenary company with another + 100 max light infantry still costs 50 gold that permanently disapear from the game. You can compare this with the initial cost of hiring retinues, only that merc start of with more of those units immidietly after reinforcing, and do not have to be reinforced again after they die, thus saving some gold even on the recruitment part of it.
3.] To me this mechanik seems like the most game changing thing in the game, entirly changing what would be "meta" if competitive multiplayer had place in this game. and i use it most of the time. But for some reason i get heavly downvoted all the time when i explain this strategy.

Sounds like a fun trick on a challenge run.

I forgot I posted this, but to clarify. No, what I want is basically just a button or toggle or something that amounts to "disband this company when off contract".

Because it's incredibly, incredibly annoying trying to watch them to find an opening to disband them currently. I'd even be okay if it's disabled when its being led by a dynasty member or whatever.
