Heyas,

I was playing the byzzies and I got to mending the great schism. So far, so good. About 4 years after the fact, the still-catholic Keiser of the HRE called for a conclave, resulting in the Pope and the Patriarch agreed for a truce. Meaning the catholic faith is no longer an heresy, but considered "and offshoot of the Orthodox religion, their differences a permanent schism". Yeah, I kinda knew that when I mended the schism only four years ago specfically for that reason ^^

That normal ?

BTW you guys are doing a great job, this mod is amazing.

That's the "Religious Emancipation" chain added in Zeus6 (IIRC) that can happen between some christian heresies and their parent religion. For orthodox as parent religion, it always leads to truce once triggered by decision, because orthodox can't call crusades.

But he's right that it does seem rather odd for it to be available in this case. Sort of invalidates one cool flavor mechanic with another; either is fairly realistic on its own, but together they produce an unrealistic series of events. Perhaps an exception of some sort, possibly timed or otherwise limited, could be made in the case of mending the schism? That is, an exception to the triggering of the religious emancipation event chain.

Hm. Might be worth disallowing that decision specifically once the schism has been mended. I'll look into it.
