Menander crashes after launch

After not playing Imperator since last summer I wanted to see what the Menander update has done to the game, but when I launch the game it will show the loading screen, but then it crashes and asks me to send a crash report. I have rolled back to Archimedes and that works fine, so I think it has something to do with the Menander update itself.

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-Imperator
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Imperator AND Documents/Paradox/Imperator folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add imperator.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam Imperator or Documents Imperator locations, before installing again.

If that doesn't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/pdx_settings.txt.
From your Documents/Paradox/Imperator/logs/ folder, attach system.log , error.log

Sorry for getting back to you so late. The game has since updated to the Marius update and still has the same problem. The reinstall didn't work, so here is the DXDIAG file, and the three other files you've asked me to attach.

That error.log looks pretty bad! Can you please do another clean reinstall now 2.0 is out, and see what issues there are then?

Unfortunately this didn't solve the problem. I've attached a new error log. For what it's worth: I've had no problems with Archimedes and earlier versions of Imperator. The problems started after updating to Menander. It might be a good idea to look into what has changed between Archimedes and Menander.

I've found the problem. I had the Imperator: Barbaricum mod installed which didn't sit well with the new versions of the game. Now that I've unsubscribed from the mod the game is working. Thank you for your patience.

Our testing involved running the game with no mods active. Are you saying this mod caused this without being enabled? because that'd be pretty bad ... !

No. Fortunately the mod was enabled. I just forgot about that and it caused to game to crash. Now that the mod has been removed the game runs smoothly.
