Memory Leak?

I'm on my brother's computer right now, and from what I can tell, the program has a memory leak.
After about thirty minutes to an hour of playing, the computer becomes unresponsive, and it's impossible to get it to respond, the only way to restart it is to hold down the power button. On my old computer, this did the same thing, and it was obviously a memory leak as I got messages telling me that physical memory was low, when I was able to minimize.

Don't know what else I can put here, besides that this started AFTER 2.0, nothing happened, no problems before that, on both computers. I thought it was just an issue on my old computer, but it's happening on this one, too.
There's 4GB total of physical RAM on both computers.

I have had the exact same problem on and off (more on than off tbt) completely unresponsive and only way, as you said, to fix it is hold down the power button.
I thought it was because my graphics memory was pretty low (384mb on a Mac) but now I wonder....

Yeah, it's pretty weird considering that its only happened on 2.0 for me, what about you?
This also happened on my PC, as well.

Its happened before patch 2.0. I think since 1.092 it has happened but that was a while ago so don't recall exactly.

Linux here with 16GB of available memory. CK2 rapidly gobbles it all up and the kernel is forced to kill the process:

We're not aware of such a problem. You can test if it's truly a memory leak by running Task Manager-Processes before running the game. Alt-tab out at regular intervals (say every 5 or ten minutes) and see what's happening to the ck2 process.

Something else that can behave like this is overheating, usually the video card. You can see the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU) 1/ before starting the game up and 2/ after say 20 minutes' play. If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install GPU-Zand CPU-Z, or SPEEDFAN.

Video card is not overheating for me. I've been monitoring it as I just replaced the thermal paste, get normal temperatures. This is a memory issue here (fairly sure), more often happens on MAC and Linux, I'm guessing? Although its happened on my PC as well.
