Can Paradox remove the requirement for AVX from the game? My processor is more powerful than the system requirements. But due to the fact that this is AMD, the game does not start

Oh, you were happy with your CPU's performance were you? Well, AMD and the software CPU extensions think otherwise. The software will artificially prevent you from running Victoria until you buy the latest hardware! Go and spend $2000 on a new PC that you don't really need - NOW!!!Can Paradox remove the requirement for AVX from the game? My processor is more powerful than the system requirements. But due to the fact that this is AMD, the game does not start
A >10 year old CPU is definitely not "far from obsolete", you shouldn't expect modern games to work without issue on hardware that is that out of date. It's completely useless, you already removed it from CK 3, and many AAA games removed it too, what did you do it again ? My CPU does not support AVX but it's far from obsolete (I7 990x extreme) why should I change my setup because of a feature that will be partially abandonned in 2023 ? I play all the latest games on ultra graphic settings, and can't play Vic3 ? Oh my god...
Vic 3 is a CPU-intensive game, not a GPU-intensive game.Vic 3 is just a low tech game.
It is.Like many other games in my Steam library. The problem is not the game requirements, AVX is just a matter of choice from PDX.
CP 2077 or Horizon have removed AVX. Those games work perfectly on my setup like Vic3 would. Pdx has decided to knowingly block some older setup for no good reason but decided to remove AVX from CK3. Vic 3 and Ck3 are using the same game engine, lol.It is.
Specifically, it is the same choice that the developers of Age of Empires 4 have made.
CK3 on release didn't use AVX. AVX was not listed in the CK3 system requirements. Someone turned on AVX accidentally when doing the 1.6 builds. When this was discovered, they turned it off.Pdx has decided to knowingly block some older setup for no good reason but decided to remove AVX from CK3
intel are dropping AVX-512 because their implementation of AVX-512 is a charlie foxtrot that actually ends up triggering thermal throttling in the CPU.(AVX 512)
99.99% of latest games work without AVX that was implemented many years ago. I'd really like to know why.Vic3 on release uses AVX. AVX is listed in the Vic3 system requirements. Vic3 probably gets more benefit from AVX than CK3 did.
Well, the jury is still out on that one. Seen plenty topics where people complained about too heavy gpu usage.Vic 3 is a CPU-intensive game, not a GPU-intensive game.
I am sorry but a I7 990x extreme + 32 go+ rtx 3070 runs all the latest games on highest settings without any issue when Vic 3 is just a low tech game.
I hope for a workaround too, thank you.
Like many other games in my Steam library. The problem is not the game requirements, Vic 3 will run perfectly on my setup, AVX is just a matter of choice from PDX.
