if have an overview in the trade windows, but i´d like to plan ahead with the consumption of my army that i´m going to raise.
is there a screen where i can find that infos?

Split off a single brigade and check the supply bar tooltip, it's near the top left of the army panel.

Don't know really if that works that way or is that straightforward. If the factory is not profitable, it will close down at some point. You buying their production might not help. This is based on the assumption that the price itself is derived from the world market. Anyone with better knowledge?

Domestic goods are bought first, so it should help if world market lacks demand.

Demo - war with Spain

Anyone got into the war with Spain (most likely over Cuba)? How did the war go? How was the Spanish AI, did it used proper fleets (not gazillion 1 ship navies) and how did it handle naval invasions (if any)?

This is correct.

You can subsidise factories you want to keep open as long as you're not a LF government.

I think I just accomplished a major achievement, one so big that my loss of the emtire American fleet in the Pacific is forgotten! I am outlawing slavery, before the ACW could kick in!:D

I am not giving up. Would any of the Devs care to answer, please? :confused:

1. I can find state menu as it was in Vic1. Menu of states with number of POPs, factories and number of provinces. There is a menu of military units on the right hand side but there isn't one for states.Am I missing something or this menu is not in the game?

If not, is there a chance it will be added in the patch?

3. Something I really, really do NOT like. When I create military unit one crucial information is missing: SPEED. When I point the unit I see rec, assault, defence (or hull for ships) but speed is missing.

Is there a chance it will be added in the patch?


4. Very minor thing: Soldier Models - numbers on the bottom of the models shows thousands of troops rather than number of regiments. I would prefer way around, but it is up to personal taste.

My question is: is it possible to mod it?

I'm without my computer until Friday, so I can't play the demo - however, I downloaded it to see its localization archives etc, and I found no change of name for the Papal States. It was even more confirmed when I saw this screenshot in the Strange Sreenshots thread:

I forget what year this happened exactly (early 1840s, I believe) but a Presidential Dictatorship in the Papal States that early? Nice.

Papal States as a presidential dictatorship is exactly what I wanted to see in Victoria 2 - it's actually one of my objectives, to turn the Papal States in the Roman Republic and, then, unify Italy.
I'm very, *very* disappointed, however, that it didn't change its name to Roman Republic. Come on, Paradox, I can't believe you forgot to changePapal States name - there's nothing for any form of government, even if there's USA_absolute_monarchy as "Kingdom of America" and a few more... are the localization archives incomplete for the Demo?
I really hope so - ok, it's not an actual bug, but I really hope to see this updated in a patch, if it's not in the final game. It's much more awesome to discover and say "Wow, the Papal States suffered a republican revolution!" than to laugh "haha, it's called Papal States and is a Republic, even if the game has features to change it".

Other than that (and a very ugly mistake on brazilian rivers), I'm already fascinated just with the game archives - everything commented and clear to understand, with all these wonderful new concepts in clear text files... I never was that entertained with the internal archives of a game, :D.
