It's simply not time for EU5, we don't need it and we definitely do not need it from Tinto. Let's wait for Vic3 to launch, some more DLC to be added and then maybe in 3-4 years it might be time for EU5.

I'd like to see a few more, smaller scope DLCs, rounding out areas of the world that need some touching up (Like sub-Saharan Africa). A couple more years of EU4, at most, while EU5 enters proper development. I'd absolutely love for EU5 to learn from EU4's long development to implement and rebalance some of the cooler ideas that were added on to EU4 over time. The clean slate, (hopeful) lack of spaghettis code, and a smaller tech debt are what EU needs most.

Correct Steam even got fined heavily in the past, like many companies got fined for their regional pricing policy when they tried to restrict software access in europe. Like when you buy a product in any country in the Eu with a lower price you can still use the product in a country with a higher price, this is assured by eu law and has been upheld in several court cases.

3-4 would mean that EU4 is over 10 years old when EU5 is out. While I am impressed by the game's updates, I can't imagine it holding out for more than 1 or 2 years maximum. A lot of it is starting to feel dated.

If Johan would only make immerasion packs from now on wich add flavour and missions to every part of europe I wouldnt mind.

It would be nice if they would stop updating the game so that the modding scene could have more of a chance. Most mods get outdated, and it's hard to find lots of mods that work together for any specific version of the game. Maybe more people would be motivated to work on mods if they didn't have up update them multiple times a year.
I don't expect much from Paradox/Tinto that modders don't currently do better.

My opinion is that there should be more DLCs. Try something smaller, Imersion pack perhaps. Introduce small number of features, make them interesting and of course with as less bugs as possible. Don't release half-baked product. To avoid another Leviathan it's better to delay it. Sure some people wouldn't be happy with it but again it's better. Be open with communiaction and freely say like "Hey guys we need to delay this DLC because there are some bugs, etc". If you have this aproach and respect the players you can release 100 of DLCs players will support you and back you up. If not don't be surprised when players start refunding DLC or give it negative review and say hey don't buy it. The best reward any gaming company can have is if someone recommends your game or DLC. Now that's just my perspective.

The Emperor DLC showed promises of systems that could still successfully be entirely reworked (e.g. estates), but I'm not sure they can continue such reworks given the intrications of all of the former DLCs and 8 years old code.

Imagine if someone would just remake the UI. It would be almost like a new game. Basically, that is all we really need. Better UI. Modders can do the rest.

This was already the case yesterday. I was too lazy to file that bug report because everything in the area was bugged anyway, but if other things now are semi-functional, feel free to report it.

Anyone who thinks they should be making an entirely new game after the last few DLC is actually insane. They need to sort out their internal issues with development first. If not we'll probably end up with another Imperator.

It deseeves to go out with a Holy Fury like expansion. Not sure if that's possible though.
