the Jacobins wernt liberal in economic policy and as being deeply socialist economly and increibly enthuasict about Nationalism are probably the first clear example of fascism in the world only the communists site them as the first reds as well so who knows that thing about the effects of the revolution still being to early to tell. But they liked the idea of government regulation quite a lot and they didnt set up a dictatorship for ideological reasons they did it because Every Country in Europe Declared War on them! when that happens extreme measures thend to follow.

Anarcho-Liberals are to Liberals what Communists are to Socialists the far extreme of the cause. not just laissez-faire but being so without the possibility of compromise or forgetting it in the nessicary situtation.

No, the Jacobins were clearly liberal in ideology (at least Robespierre were) but they weren't dogmatic about it: He was willing to temporarily suspend the free market in order to protect what he saw as the values of the Revolution.

Anarcho-Liberals could be rendered as "jacobins" (or just "radical liberalism") but it's a very distinct brand of politics that is very 19th century, a kind of authoritarian "enlightened despotism" with liberal aspirations. You could put Bolivar and arguably Napoleon in this category.

Conservative, in danger of going reactionary if things go south. Unless missing the 'edutainment' value of events of the old style makes me one already.

I think there should be theocratic ideologies too (one for each religion), as variants of conservative. They would naturally be stronger or weaker depending on the conditions of each country, education, etc...

Religious as an ideology is very recent, in the C19th you the idea that christians were conservative really only existed in socialist propaganda. Liberalism was just as 'Christian' as Conservatism and in england used calvinist determinism as the basis of the Moral Liberalism as 'god made the poor' and catholics could have whatever damn political posistion they wanted and not be crossing party line. And as for the heathesn well they have next to nothing in common with each other to start with as religion is an arbitary term where you a get a number of unrelated things and draw a circle around them and pretend they have something in common.

Erm, the OP was talking about our "ideology" in relation to how the game is set up with historical events and whatnot, not ideologies in the game.

something like technocracy should crop up if there is a major depression and the education level is high enough.

EDIT: On second thought, technocracy didn't develop until the 1920's. This might be too late for it to have a major impact, although it would be fun to play such a country for a change ^^

I think Anarchism and Radical Liberal should be separated. First, it seems odd that an Anarcho-Liberal government establishes a dictatorship. Second, this way you could have anarchic pops as more likely to revolt, and as triggers for attempted assassinations.

I would view Radical Liberal as analagous to the Jacobins in the French Revolution: anti-aristocracy, and supporting the establishment of a Republican dictatorship. This seems to be what the Anarcho-Liberals in Victoria represent.

Conservative: Keep Vicky 2 largely the equal to the first, while improving on most features and adding new concepts.

Liberal: Make Victoria a tad more sandbox like EU3, but keep the victoria feel and POP system

Anarcho-Liberal: Make this Europa Universalis 3 : Victorian Age

Reactionary : This should be only Victoria 1 bugfixed!

Fascist : The devs shouldn't hear suggestions like those of the liberal rabble that plague this forum, they must maximize profits and ban anyone against that

Socialist : The devs should hear the community and work alongside it

Communist : The devs should obey the community and work for it

Well it's conservative for me then, and a little socialism too, there are alot of good ideas in this forum that will definitely help the devs improve the game! ;)

Anarcho-Liberalism should be split into Anarchism and Radicalism.

Furthermore, I hope parties can be a mix of more than one ideology.
