Maybe this question was asked already, if so point me towards the thread.

A number of players complained that megas come too late into the game to be useful and i tend to agree to some degree, is this going to be hotfixed in the next couple of weeks?

Because if the answer is no i'll probably dive into the txts to make some changes, but i won't bother if it will be.

I haven't seen any indication given that mega structures are viewed by Paradox as coming too late, so feel free to make your mod.

Hotfixes are generally meant for bugs and to balance changes so even if paradox would agree that the structures are off I wouldn't count for a change until at least 1.6.

Realistically, building a ring world or Dyson swarm/sphere should be very late game. Earth is currently about .72 on the Kardashev scale, and achieving a type II civilization (uses all the power of their star) is expected to take a few thousand years.

Of course, that wouldn't be any fun. Nor waiting a thousand years or so for terraforming to work. Still, three years is pretty damn fast.
