Can community share some reasonable opinions on what are the limits in administrative cap, planets, megastructures etc for a mega corporation? I can see it is best left within its home sector and three starting worlds at early game to rush technology and unity, but may that change later and how much?

My current game keeps throwing valuable ruins at me, starting with ruined art, then ringworld within my sector, and now the First League home system. If left as is, Fen Habbanis will eventually be taken by my recent ally and customer. But I can grab it for myself, even if for much later. Should I do so?

Absolutely. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. If you’re worried about admin cap spend he extra influence to just take that sector without the inbetween ones (assuming you’re not low on cohesion)

Reporting back then: yes, ecumenopolis is immensely useful in this situation, by 2400 I'm sitting on 5 worlds + Fen Habbanis and the ringworld can stil fit in. Maybe a few more worlds too. Getting past administrative cap X or even XX is no problem with worlds mostly dedicated to science.

Ecumenopolis is good for producing alloys and grow fleet, though you can possibly dedicate normal worlds to that, it does not require juggling all the rare resources to do it. Being able to resettle pops helps when you have several overcrowded worlds and growing ecumenopolis - no need to forse halt growth on them, just sending them all to Fen Habbanis.
