meet Napoleon I

I wondered if Napoleon was so good as the historybooks write. So as Hungary I started a war against France around 1800. I had a higher tech-level than FRance, and I had 4 armies of around 50k, easily conquering 4 provinces of France. No Napoleon in sight.

Then a 50k army from the French capital came to look. Yes, leaded by Napoleon I. I decided sending my 4 armies one by one, to fight him. So when the first was defeated, Nappies morale would be down a little bit. The second would do the same, bringing his morale further down, etc..
First army, plof, annihilated after 2 days. The second army got the same fate, as the third and the forth. 200k armies through the drain. And Napoleons army was down 10k.

But the worst part was, that although there was still a war, Napoleon wasn't interested in me anymore. I wasn't a worthy enemy. He just went back to his capital, leaving me to fight with other (normal) French armies.

Although I had 3 provinces conquered, I signed a white peace. Afraid that he would come back.

Wasn't this tactic that fucked up the counter-revolutionary armies at Austerlitz? They thought that a splinter of the French army was commanded by Nappy so they were so scared that made some of the stupidest tactical blunders ever, so they lost even though they were far superior in number!

In EU terms. Any opponent that has 6-6-6 stats you better run from...fast.

No, the opposite was true: at Austerlitz the Allies were crushed because of over-confidence. They could have waited for the Archduke Charles to arrive and for the Prussians to declare war. Instead they chose to accept battle and attacked exactly where Napoleon expected them to strike.

I am probably missing the battle name. I am not that expert on Nappy, anyway. I'll check my books and look for that battle. I am sure there was one the counter-revolutionaries battled an inferior army believing Nappy commanded it, and they were so "cautious" (cowardice's good name ) that ended losing the fight.

Well the Prussians DoW Napoleon because he won such a great victory. I don´t think the allies had much choice in that one.

I ran across Frederick II of Prussia yesterday.... I had conquered Brandenburg (as Austria) a loooooong time ago, so I had completely forgotten about him whatsoever. BUT, when he attacked my 120k army with 70k Prussians, CROSSING A RIVER INTO MOUNTAINS, my army got annihilated and he lost like 10k. Do you think I was pissed?
Fortunately, in the meantime, I unloaded other amies in his home provinces and annexed Prussia, but I mean, he sure has some decent lease stats

Yeah 6-6-6-1 is almost as good as nappy.

By the by have anyone ever run across a leader that has more than 2 in siege. Well exept Vauban who has 4.

There are three with siege = 4: Jean Parisot de la Valette, grandmaster of the Knights of St. John, Bragadin from Venezia and Vauban.

It is kinda strange, but de Valette and Bragadin appears to have the stats because they resisted sieges. De Valette was the Grandmaster during the Ottoman siege of Malta, while Bragadin was the commander of the Venetians during the Ottoman siege of Crete.

Well I guess that counts as well. They always said that a fortress that is besieged by Vauban is a taken fortress and a fortress that is defended by Vauban is an inpregnable fortress.

Nappy is so fun to play with.
I took out England with him. Having done it this late in the game, and England owned all of her home provinces this late is normally no easy task, especially with mighty fortresses all over England . Then after that I was DoW on just about anybody just to see him in action .
