I think they look fine. Actually they look lke they'll be one of the better portrait DLCs. Nothing silly about them.
The male looks great, the woman just looks like she's a bit aged

i say 2 things... 1... we neeed bigger resolution screens. 2nd, they look WAY too tanned. of course they must be darker than vanilla. but that is just exagerated.
I don't think they look too dark, but the old one in the above posted picture maybe.
Yeah they are WAY too dark, they do not at all look like Italians, Greeks or Northern Iberians. I think those would fit Andalusians well but that's it.

She looks like she has Treacher-Collins Syndrome.
They are nobles who stay in their palaces and estates much of the time. When they venture through town they have shaded carts and when they venture out of town they have servants to shade them, except for in battle (but then they're wearing full body armor). So yeah they are probably too tanned.
For the Levant and the farthest southern parts of Europe though, they're good.

At least they look better than the African ones...in fact some of these would actually look better in Ethiopia rather than the Meditteranean lol.
I think they look great. Most important detail for me is the black hair: black hair doesn't look like a formless blob anymore and the old age beards aren't pure white, but they are grey/dark in parts.
As for the skin, I... always shake my head at this obsession with light skin tone. It's disturbing. But moving beyond that, yeah -- they're tanned. But this is a face set that has to apply to all Mediterranean people, and moreover distinguish itself from Northern Europeans. Whether or not it better reflects Southern Italians, or Greeks, or Andalusians is an academic discussion because it has to apply to all of them. So perhaps some northern Italians won't look the way people expect them to: big deal, they didn't look that accurate before either.
It's an improvement and I am really perplexed by this fear of tanned skin. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you like it but only want the hats, then it's easy to use just the hats and put back the northern European look if you want to mod it. Heck, you could even mod in a Northern Italian culture that's still part of the Latin culturegroup but does NOT use Mediterranean faces (see: the French).
I am personally thrilled with the DLC, think it's their best one yet, and can't wait for Monday.

This better be an early alpha. matilda of tuscany looks like she had botox lip injections that went horribly wrong.
well... once again i agree with your comment. they look great. they look a bit too tanned... oh well.. so what? still great.
The skin tone looks fine to me. It's true that not all Italians and Greeks are as dark as that, but plenty are. The faces are a bit odd, though.
