"could care less" is a fantastic expression. It is just so...wrong.
I head someone rant about it on the radio before, and I find it amusing that people actually use it.

Let's use a proper source for this, and not a couple of opinions a newspaper published. http://oxforddictionaries.com/page/oxfordcomma

The Oxford, or serial, comma is optional. While it is not needed, it is certainly not forbidden. In some cases (such as my example, or for instance this graphic (SFW) example "we invited strippers, JFK, and Stalin") it is essential, I would argue.

Technically, I'd argue the quote marks he used did actually make it superfluous. Put them in the 'strippers...' quote and you'll see what I mean.
