I've worked in TV, on features, games, comics and animation...I've met a lot of people in a lot of companies and can say that the HBS crew really is top shelf. And patient! They put up with me all day!

Most of the attendees had traveled from very far away, Battletech fans are truly a dedicated group! And Vancouver is the best place to come to.
My experience did vary, of course, as I had the VIP pass. So I had an open bar and free food and the full attention of HBS. But, to be honest, everyone who stopped by to talk with the crew were made the center of attention. Every fan that came by was greeted warmly.
I do between 3-5 cons a year and MechCon's are the best as far as I'm concerned. Save your pennies, collect bottles, do whatever you need to do to make the trip. And remember, after currency conversion, your dollar/kroner/pound goes a lot further in Canuckland! And just a few blocks down from the very comfortable facility is Steamworks, one of the best craft beer brew pubs around.
Thank you HBS, thank you Stompy Robot fans, thank you CGL, Piranha and Virtual World for making this event bigger and better each year.
And we can't forget the Great IlKhan himself, Jordan. For without him, none of this happens.
