Aside from the Mech Bay UI issues that are a little annoying the most irksome issue I have with this great game so far is the lack of Lance building. What I mean by that is if I have my standard crew of four Mechwarriors (Commander, and three more) I generally use, then I completely ignore any others in my Company until one of my first line gets injured.

What I'd like to see is the option to have presets. If say Lance 1 is my main, and they get roughed up in a major drop and I need time to retrofit and heal, then I just select Lance 2 and it auto populates that Lance and their Mechs. This would also be handy in more effectively using your resources, rather than take the time to completely reorg for a 2 Skull difficulty mission I just select the appropriate Lance and go as well, as it would make the Mech bay upgrades make more sense (add more bays to get another lance and the 6 slot capacity has a little bit of flexibility in the Lance).

This could also extend into further game development where if the mission requires me to take Lance 1, but the mission is a long one then conceivably there could be a part where the mission has an interlude where Lance 1 is removed from the field if necessary and another Lance of your choice drops allowing for longer missions or a campaign style engagement.

Still love the game, aside from the frustrating RNG moments.

It is an issue but that could be why there are 6 Mechs in one level of the Mech bays. 6 Mechs available to the Lance if you can afford it, or you run the risk of under equipped Lances. As for the MW's if one is unavailable you could just hot swap using the current system but have it auto populate the Lance minus the injured MW.
