This is a low priority for me but its still something I'd like to see in- a meaningful end of game. Not just 'you are victorious' hoi style, how about a high score chart or lots of nice little graphs and stuff civ3 style. I just don't like all that work being for nothing.

Yeah the few times that I have finished a whole GC in EU2, it just throws up a high ranking score. I dunno about you, but that sort of makes me feel a bit empty or "is the game really over?" :)

Perhaps a few more things at the end, maybe bea ble to take a look at a thing similar to the ledger too.

I liked the ending to Tropico, your adjutant gave you a run-down of your achievement as your doting subjects thronged around you. The good thing about that is that it was different every time, depending on your priorities and successes.

The best endgame feature ever (although Tropico wasn't bad either) was in the original Civilization. It simply showed the progress of empires by showing the entire history of the game on fast forward, empires of different colours expanded, fought eachother etc. Also the building of wonders and some special units was told for each nation.

I'd like to see that in Vic also, with an option to be told about choices of events perhaps. It would be nice look back after a great grand campaign and have some nostalgia of the biggest victories and defeats of the game. In EU a proper map to use would have been the "flag" screen with nations in individual colours.

This feature was again in Civ3, but because it progressed too slow I normally got bored before it ended. Fast forward should really mean FAST forward, if one wants to be hasty.

What would be really cool to have is a report on the history as it happened in the game for all the nations in the 85 years of the game, and then if you want, you can read your alternate history. That's one thing that I've always liked. :D

Yep, the ending should seriously be tweaked - the total score table doesn't tell much. I liked the Tropico ending too. Let's hope our opinion here matters for the developers!

I was gonna mention the original Civ and Civ 3 ending styles, but they were already mentioned :(. They were great. I'd love to see how my empire expanded in EU2. "Oh yeah, THATS when I diplo-annexed France and Austria in the same year and, effectively, took over Europe!"
BTW, Whats Tropico? I've never heard of it.

Tropico is an excellent game, letting you take control of a small island state somewhere in the Caribbean. It's a few years old, has produced an update or two (don't remember right now...), I can warmly recommend.

The original Civ 1 ending was quite refreshing....Paradox should consider a history-log type of ending, not just a pretty picture, but some kind of a raw analysis of the ending situation. The cultural achievements, the economic breakthroughs, the technological inventions, war, peace....

I'm going to have to get Tropico next time I'm in a city, I believe its on a budget label now.

The videos in Civ2 were cool 'Excellency, the world marvels at our superior intelect sire!' though they definatly wouldn't fit in here.
We don't need videos and stuff just as said lots of nice statistics about whats happened and maybe a civ3 style map.
