And the scripters will need to make sure that one of the nations is Denmark. Koizumi had talked with the leader of Denmark the morning that he left, concluding the meeting.

This...uh...seems like a bit of an overreaction. Cabinet shuffles are common in every democratic country on the planet, including Japan. I seriously doubt that the minister in question would have such a long-term effect as increasing the tax values of every province in Japan. You're talking about adding hundreds of millions of dollars to the GNP!!

I read the news story with interest - it was on page 1 of the Yomiuri Shimbun - but it didn't seem like even the newspaper was that excited about it. Chances are good that in 10 years nobody will remember it. On the other hand, the abductees would make a good EU2 event - there's something that has been an issue for more than 20 years, and is causing a lot of hard feelings between Japan and North Korea right now. :)

What reshuffle?? ;) :D

Yes, I was just looking in the shimbun and saw that, so decided to put it in. Sorry.. :(

Yes, I thought of the kidnapping incident for an event! I didn't make one yet, though.. Perhaps you could make that one? Thanks! :)

Ah! I just had a great idea. I wonder why I didn't think of this before! Let's revive the Bubble Economy! :D

Maybe we should make it a challenge, as in depending on certain choices that you make in events will lead up to the recovery of the economy. If you make a wrong decision, then the road to the revival of the Bubble Economy will end :D And many of the choices that lead to that will hurt you, to make it challenging.

Title: Should we try to rebuild the Bubble Economy?
Date: 2005
Nation: Nippon

Description: We once had the greatest economy in the world -- The "Bubble Economy". However, those days have ended. Should we try to support our businesses and attempt to bring the Japanese economy to its former glory?

Choice A: Yes. The Bubble Economy shall be restored!
Effect: Ducats (-1500), Relations with U.S. (-10), Triggers Event "Should we increase average working hours?"

Choice B: No. Everything is fine how it is.
Effect: Relation with U.S. (+5), Merchants (+1)

*The relation changes with the United States is representing the American businessman's fear of the Bubble Economy being restored :D *

Title: Should we increase average working hours?
Date: 2006
Nation: Nippon

Description: We will need to increase the average man's working hours to rebuild the Bubble. However, this will cause unrest amongst the people. What should we do?

Choice B: No, keep the working hours how they are now.
Effect: Stability (+1)

Choice C: Increase the hours? Reduce them!!
Effect: Stability (+2), Tax income in Kanto (-2), Tax Income in Kansai (-1)

*The people will have to work more, and so I believed that the "Serfdom" domestic policy would fit best*

Title: Building up the industry
Date: 2007
Nation: Nippon

Description: To revive the Bubble Economy, the industries of Japan must be built up. This will be quite expensive though.. What should we do?

Choice A: Begin Construction in Tokyo
Effect: Ducats (-1500), Gain Refinery in Kanto, Triggers Event "Should we increase wages"

Choice B: No, no! We can't afford this!
Effect: Stability (+1), Revoltrisk in Kanto (-3)

*The people are relieved that they can stop the hard work of rebuilding the economy*

Title: Should we increase the wages?
Date: 2008
Nation: Nippon

Description: With the economy on the rise, our workers demand higher pay. It will be a bit pricey to increase the wages. However, not increasing the pay will cause sure unrest. The rebuilding of the Bubble Economy will come to an end, after all of these years of effort. What should we do?

Choice A: Increase the wages
Effect: Ducats (-300), Merchants (+1), Triggers event "Further industrial expansion"

Choice B: Keep the wages how they are!
Effect: Stability (-1), Revoltrisk in Kanto (+1)

Choice C: Lower the wages!
Effect: Ducats (+100), Stability (-2), Revoltrisk in Kanto (+2), Revolt risk in Kansai (+2)

Title: Further industrial expansion
Date: 2009
Nation: Nippon

Description: For years we have strived to return our economy to its magnificent former state. Our dream has almost been achieved. However, we must build more industry to achieve this. This will be an extremely expensive project, and the people will not be happy about it.

Choice A: Begin the project
Effect: Revolt in Kansai, Revolt in Kanto, Revoltrisk in Kanto (+2), Revoltrisk in Kansai (+2), Revoltrisk in Kyushu (+1), Revoltrisk in Shikoku (+1), Revoltrisk in Tohoku (+1), Revoltrisk in Ezochi (+1), Stability (-3), Ducats (-2000), Tax Value in Kanto, Kansai, Tohoku, Shikoku, Kyushu, Ezochi (-2), Gain Refinery in Kyushu, Gain Refinery in Kansai, Triggers Event "The Bubble Economy is revived!"

Choice B: Abandon the idea of rebuilding the economy. It isn't worth horrible unrest.
Effect: Revoltrisk in Ezochi, Tohoku, Kanto, Kansai, Shikoku, and Kyushu (-5), Stability (+2)

*OUCH!! >o< But we want it to be hard for the player to revive the Bubble Economy. See the next event to see if this was all worth it :D *

Title: The Bubble Economy is revived!
Date: 2010
