Maybe this is why Ming is too strong?

When I say they are beatable, I mean that you can attack them and beat them.

I would like to see some kind of mechanic that made it more likely than 'not at all' for Qing to show up sometimes. But the whole 'Ming are OP INVINCIBLE' meme is nonsense. They do pose a non-trivial challenge but that is hardly a bad thing.
Nobody's saying Ming is invincible, only OP. The distinction is pretty crucial.

I think the game has difficulties representing nations' decline, which is even harder with Ming since there are no real challengers for them, unlike for the nations in Europe. Still, the old Mingsplosion wasn't great either.

Yeah, you didn't. And I didn't say you did either. I wasn't quoting you.

This makes no sense. The person you quoted brought it up, you said no one was saying it "but OP". I'm the only OP there can be in this situation, because the person you responded to didn't quote anyone... so, what are you even talking about?

So..

An idle nation just not caring for conquest/outside much, amasses a massive population, a population that get taxed by what they produce, and acts as a reserve military force?

And everyone around them knows this fact? and starts kissing ass.. Because nobody wants to be on bad terms with them, and gives gifts as well..

this kind of sounds like eu4 now by that logic, no?

I won't speak about historical events, like qing and such, I have no knowledge apart from these kind of threads... Which totally dont have citations so, kind of stuck on that point.

sounds just like its modelled in eu4 fairly similar to a translation to a game with such and such limitations unbeknown to us non-pdx'ers.

Pssst.... OP can mean OverPowered, in addition to Original Poster ;)
