There are some great mods out there, some of them are not just great they are so important they are necessary for the game to run smoothly like Loading Screen Mod (test) the newer version speedups game loading time and find errors, missing assets and exports them on a page.
BloodyPenguin's mods so many to mention, this guy is a genius, the improved mod/assets panel mostly importantly should become game's default and not a mod anymore. Easier to find anything option to change view list, thumbnails etc.
I've seen they have already adopted some things like sub-buildings, or sadly the Building Themes which are way below mod version...
Well I hope to see more things becoming a standard in game.

There are some mods, where it totally makes sense, like Don't Crash and the Loading Screen Mod (test) which basicly fixes issues. But for other mods there are things to consider. Some are more heavy to run, which those with good pcs don't notice, but there's also alot playing the game around the minimum requirements. Performance definately must be considered too.

I totally agree the styles added to the game are nowhere near as useful as the Building Themes mod - I still hope we'll get improvement here. Being able to edit themes/styles while working on the city and having a checklist of buildings to add are the two major things styles are lacking imo. It takes too long scrolling through the content manager to add buildings to a style.

Subbuildings are much better. I only worked a little bit with the mod itself before subbuildings could be added in the editor. There are a few issues, some have been fixed, some will likely get fixed in the future, but overall it feels easier to use than the mod (at least when you don't have any programming skills) - partly because you can see what you're doing. And the fact that it packages the buildings together is practical both for uploading/updating and loading. Once we get used to the new way to place/use subbuildings and get the little bugs weeded out I think it will be a very good addition.

Personally I'd love to see styles adopt more of Building Themes' flexibility, the improvements to loading and mesh/texture sharing from the Loading Screen mod, improvements and sorting abilities for the content manager and the Building Panel Already Exists Icons Fix added.

One more reason for certain mods to be included in game is because they can run faster than mods, not all but some when they are built in it's better than mod versions which cause extra load.
One thing most important for me is the content manager. Cities Skylines is game that thrives through mods playing without mods is... meh.... so content manager should be upgraded like BloodyPenguin's mod where you can categorize assets and find easily what you want and delete it for example, also search option so useful, so many times I find something in my game I wanted to get rid of but hard to find on Steam.

100% agree with this. There a lot of excellent and essential gameplay mods that are key to playing the game like these noted here and CO should add functionality like these to the base game eliminating the need for a mod and integrating it better into the game.

This is my number one ask for this game.

I feel that is what they are looking into! They have way more in depth tools than the modding community!
