I'm a member here since some months ago. Although, I've not been very much online. Which means, I am in some ways still new.
So, I've got a question about attachments.
How do you do to post them?
I've noticed that below to the left there is something called "Posting rules".
And there it says that I may "not" post attachments. Why?
I've checked the FAQ, but I find no answer there.
What I would like to know is: Why can't I post attachments, and how to change that.
So, I think that the best way to get an answer would be to ask. And that's what I'm doing right now.
Maybe I'm asking a very stupid question and maybe the answer is very very obvious to some people. But it isn't to me. So... I'm asking.
And waiting for an answer...

You can't post attachments, that's it. The reason, I guess, is that adding attachments would be a huge strain to an already dying server. Besides, if you want to post pictures you can link to image hosting sites, and there's still the old-fashioned copy-paste for text.

Attachments can only be used by a few people in specific situations. I recall the Dev team posting 3 Rome screenies as attachments a while ago.

Other than that. Yes, people use linked images. Which, to me at least, also appears like a superior solution.
