Not quite sure what to say to this. Never seen it happen before. EDIT: France is in PU under England, for those that missed it.

Here I am minding my own business, uniting Greece while fighting half of Italy and suddenly I look over and see this madness.

See, this is bad because France, contrary to the picture, is quite strong in the southern area. They control all of their starting provinces, minus a couple in the north, and plus a few down south.

This should be interesting later on, if it comes to anything. I think we're looking, in the immediate repercussions, at a reversal of the "Burgundy blobbing into France" trend.

Burgundy took maybe 2 provinces I think.

Also, bad news for me. I just took the last Greece Province I didn't have at Naxos and simultaneously the Ottomans annexed Serbia and Bosnia. Suffice to say, I'm screwed.

In my latest (patch 15/4) game Burgundy first blobbed, then broke. After some minors re-ermerged Burgundy was totally conquered by Lorraine (2 or 3 provinces) and Brabant (all the rest, about 10). After years and years of being totally occupyed, Burgundy finally made peace with Lorraine.

Lorraine annexed Burgundy! All of a sudden, there was a Lorraine almost as big as France between the blue blob in the west and the HRE. OK, France nibbled at Lorraine in several wars and now it's down to 5 or 6 provinces, but still the greatest AI Lorraine I ever saw.

I've seen it bigger once, back in 1.3. I noticed it because it came all the way up to my northern hold out (Scandinavia), and beat the living day out of me, after my simultanious war with Austria, France and GB.
Lorraine had most of burgundy's old lands, and most of eastern germany, and decided to help the others, I was completely broken, ending with only skåne(scania) and my capital. The rest went to lorraine:
I played on for a few years, only to see them completely trash France AND Austria. Simultaniously.
At that point i realised it had turned into an AI WC and left it, was very impressed xD

In 3.2 While I was playing as Naples, the GH went on a rampage through Europe. They made it all the way to Aquitaine and were allied with the Ottomans, who were helping them. GB was defender of the faith for whatever religion(I think it was Reformed) and were drawn in against the GH-OE alliance. Twas pretty epic seeing a Noble Republic GH thrashing most of Europe with the Ottomans. I wish I could've seen how everything ended, but I was annexed by the Ottomans in 1562.

That was the most amazing game I'd ever played. Random lucky and high aggressive do wonders for your military games.

Besides, Henry VI of England was also the recognized King of France after Henry V died. So this is basically just following history.

My most epic game was when HRE formed, and whilst it was weak in it's early days France invaded. Panic. The HRE had a very small army and the French managed to take a huge chunk of territory. It drived it's warscore up so high the HRE fell apart and ended up only in German lands after Lithuania also trashed them in a Eastern war. Playing Castile this was all very amusing to me. I used the distraction to take the rest of Italy
