If you seriously think that Baltic people voluntarily joined USSR then discussing with you is hopeless as you have been brainwashed by soviet propaganda.
I have lived most of my life in USA.
Still, my point stands - there was no actual war. We can argue about whether or not the vote was rigged, but facts are - a lot of the members of their governments were working for USSR already, SU was getting better quality of life (yes that is true, just look at those countries now, without subsidies from Moscow and where their population is working).

Surrender was signed at 23:00 on 7th may the first one.

The second one was signed at 23:00 on 8 the may and announced by Molotov at 2:00 on 9th of may.

That is why there are actually 3 VA dates.
German surrender was signed at midnight May 8, Berlin time. By Moscow time, it was May 9 - hence May 9th parade and celebration.
Western Allies tried to trick the USSR, by signing a treaty with Germans on May 7th, a treaty which ignored SU. Just that fact demonstrates how the western rulers regarded Soviet Union.

I have lived most of my life in USA.

The was and still are stalinists all around the world.

And I do not mix them with communists as USSR was not a communist regime but a totalitarian state lead by a ruling class the Nomenklatura with very few workers and peasants represented.

Still, my point stands - there was no actual war.

You still play on the words, even without a war it was an agression, a takeover under armed threat. And by doing so you conveniently forget the wars of agression against Poland and Finland.

SU was getting better quality of life (yes that is true, just look at those countries now, without subsidies from Moscow and where their population is working).

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.

This one showing USSR (40%) and his Eastern European puppets (20%) as % of US GDP vs Western Europe (80%) - in french on the picture PNB = GDP:

Communism is an economic, not a political system. Democracy, Oligarchy and Dictatorship are the 3 known political systems. And USSR never had communism - hence its name United Soviet Socialist Republics. SU pronounced communism as its goal, sure, but nothing more.
If you look around, ALL the countries have some type of "nomenklatura" that rules over the rest. Some have better ways of letting determined people from lower strata.
This one showing USSR (40%) and his Eastern European puppets (20%) as % of US GDP vs Western Europe (80%) - in french on the picture PNB = GDP:
Nice way to twist my words. SU citizens had better life than the Baltic countries in the late 1930s - that's all I said. As for the rest - Western Europe was not as mangled by warfare, and USA was not even touched - by both WW1 and WW2. Why are you not comparing the North to South after the American Civil War, eh? How much larger was US economy then the SU one in 1938? How about 1970?
But we are way off topic. If you want to continue - create a dedicated topic, we can continue there.
