I'm one of the dukes in the Khotan region and am fighting against a neighbouring nomadic Khan to free myself from tributary status.

I've taken his capital, and fought three battles, and it seems that warscore contribution from battles is capped at 75%? Why? Now I face the nightmare scenario of beseiging and fortifying EVERY FREAKEN province this Khan owns in the steppes, just so I can inch my warscore from 88% to 100%. Meanwhile his army replenishes at a ridiculous rate, and because of this stupid Shattered Retreat mechanism, I can't touch his army until it's almost at full power. I've lost half my army at this point, and despite wtfpwning this Khan, I am now going to lose this war.

Either the AI needs to stop pushing for total war, or the max warscore from battles needs to be put back to 100%. It's pretty ridiculous right now; in the first patches the AI would throw bones to the least dangerous wars if it had to defend itself, now it does its best kamikaze rendition.

Freeing yourself from tributary status doesn't have a ticking war score like war of independence does? Weird.

Nope. I assumed warscore would slowly tick in my favour, especially since I held his capital and he held no provinces of mine.

edit: It might be possible that warscore isn't ticking since we both share the same liege. My suzerain is a Khan vassal of the Uyghur Khaganate, and I've sworn fealty directly to the Uyghur Khaganate as well. :/
