after defeated Unbidden, i started to study matter desintegrator (won from Unbidden) for my ultimate generation of ship-plans and... i am dissapointed !
of course, better than Plasma/Laser/Disruptor...
but always overwhelmed by Gauss(S&M) & KinethicArt(L) for the most part... (enough to continue to favorize Kinethic, even after get "the famous MD from Unbidden" !)
honestly, thats frustrating/dissapointing coz, again (i posted a thread about rebalance XL weapons 2weeks ago where i said the same concerning XL weapons and tremendous advantage M&G Canons have compared with others... such then there is no choice, there too, its too obvious to have to choose ! ...etc), Kinethic weapons stay the unique real sensed choice for efficency...
here we can maybe think to share M&S slots between MD & Gauss (something like MD33% - Gauss66%).
but L slot let no chance to MD: KinethicArt prevails easally !
so, am i the only one to think a such obvious lack of balance between weapon classes is a real issue ?
i mean, WITHOUT MOD !
...modding, imo, should be used to extend or precise or alterate to personal tastes, or specific RP, each specific player would like to implement... NOT to fix basic elementary balance issue between each classes of weapons !
in Azimov, Tachyon2 played this role compared with other weapons.
since 1.3, in facts, its worse !
...its all the Kinethic Weapon class who play this role and largely overwhelm other weapons...
thats a true problem and a mystake for me.
entertainment should allow and drive naturaly players to have a tough choice to do between weapons, each having assets compared with others, etc, etc...
well, i will stop to growl about that (lol)...

but concerning specificly MD, before get it from Unbidden, i hoped longer XL slots could be concerned by.
unfortunatly, i get confirm here, its not the case (in a sens its not a drama, except when we start to integrate the issue concerning Gauss within !).
and so now, after unlocked MD (and after my little investigation to use them well), i really asking myself if that shouldnt be better to simply make the MD an XL weapon...?
(with or without maintain it as SML slots in the same time, that can be an other question to ask just next...? after all, its a very specific weapon, different than classic Plasma/Lasers/Railguns/AutoCanon/Missiles/SawrmMissiles/Flak/etc
...no reason to say about MD: "its SML or XL, only, not both". it could be an expection and the unique weapon able to be used in 4 sizes of slots...)
