As the Duchess of Khazars, I took great care in selecting a mate for a matrilinear marriage. Everything went smoothly, we had a nice matrilinear marriage icon, except at some point it turned into the regular marriage icon. Okay, I figured it was just a graphical bug or something. But then the Duchess's child was of the husband's dynasty.
This was all in a single play with no reloading. The Duchess contracted an illness and then got better, and became pregnant. These were the only events that affected her (to my knowledge) in between her getting married and the marriage type change. I tried reloading my autosaves, but they were all regular marriage as well.
Edit: Looking back, with no proof I can't even convince myself that it was originally a matrilinear marriage. I think, if nothing else, this points to the use of a matrilinear marriage search though.
