Hi there,
It's all in the title. I'm looking for stuff on guilds and all sorts of regulated professional associations in pre-Industrial Europe (mostly France/England/Germany/Northern Italy/Low Countries). I'd like to know more about the following broad questions: how guilds were organized on a comparative (by location or professional sector) basis, how they developed in different eras, how they handled social conflicts, what there impact was on the economy, etc.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
