Hi CO,

Thanks for the free DLC, it's a great little addition to the game! I have a few simple suggestions which I think would improve this new mechanic a lot:

1. There needs to be more than one match a year. I don't think that is enough.

2. You should be also be able to rename your team

3. Transfer this match mechanic to the steam workshop stadiums, so we can have multiple teams in a city if we choose to- a lot of major cities have more than 1 team

4. Transfer the football match mechanic to the public football pitches as well (like this one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=409641585)

5. Finally, the stadium's 'sphere of influence' should be Citywide

Thanks

I'd love to see these added to the game! Loving the possibilities of the Match Day Expansion! I'd also like to see more sports/stadiums/arenas added...especially since, being from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA...the Stanley Cup (National Hockey League Championship) was just played and won by the Pittsburgh Penguins. I played hockey for 15 years and would love for my city to have a professional hockey team!

The match day dlc is a nice little addition to the game and also adds a short animation sequence. It is obviously timed to coincide with the current Euros in France. (Probably likely to see some similar Olympic themed dlc later in the summer to celebrate Rio Games?). Always good to get free stuff but I feel this is a bit of a distraction as there are so many other core aspects of the game that could be addressed /improved.

I agree Free stuff is always nice! What would be good would be to able to bid to host a sporting tournament like a World Cup or (with a potential free Olympics DLC that you mentioned) an Olympic Games. It could provide a boost in tourism and leisure for a series of months in the game and bring about more challenges for the city's infrastructure (restructuring transportation routes to stadiums around the city, or ensuring that enough hotels, bars, restaurants etc are located near the venues for the people attending).

I also think that this football stadium should be given the option to become multi functional facility which could be done through the implementation of new policies such as choosing to host concerts and a selection of other sporting events (maybe its use as an athletics stadium).

Sounds good!

Until / If they add more to this game mechanic you can always use the Rush Hour mod and create events for your stadiums and unique landmarks. I do them for all the assets I can and it really livens up the city. I have seen several matches being played at my various stadiums around the city and then I also have big Sales events at stores, Casino days, conference center events, etc, you can add whatever you imagination wants.

Rush Hour is a fantastic mod, unfortunately it's crashing my game at the moment

I'm reluctant to try it! Everything running smoothly without it at present- I do miss the improvements though! Maybe it is time to give it another go...

my game has been running just fine. the only problem i have now is an IKEA sign prop doesn't seem compatible anymore...LOL oh well....

You could always load up your save with it activated and see, if it still does not work just reload the save without it.

I too get that Ikea sign as my only start up error, I just unsubscribed from it until its fixed. I'm running about 50 mods now and the game seems fine, mostly bloodypenguins mods with some he partnered up with and have to say the game is much better so far.

Bloody Penguin is a genius! He has transformed the game with his awesome mods. I went "back to basics" a few days ago and played the vanilla game for a while and found it to be such a dull experience when compared to my usual heavy reliance on mods and assets. The modding community do an amazing job!
