Mucking about in a Sweden (for a change) game and have a small question.
I'm going to go ahead and do this anyway (as per thread title), but just for clarification's sake: what is the result of me marrying my heir to a weak claim holder (female), pressing her claim on a throne with my heir as husband (he's a duke) if she never has a child?
Would another claimant just take the title when she dies and my heir would not get a claim?
Would I then be able to be involved in a succession war?
Current situation:
I have a claimant to Denmark in my court (she's 27 atm), her husband just had an unfortunate accident with a salted herring - oh them bones, them bones - and I am thinking of betrothing my heir (aged 6) to her and pressing her claim now. She already has a daughter who may well be having an encounter with a live teddy bear in her cot during the night very soon... Now, she will be 36 when my heir comes of age, there is obviously a reasonable chance she won't sire any children at this point I reckon 50/50. If she doesn't I assume I won't get any claims to the throne at all when she dies, i.e. my heir won't get anything even though he is the husband? So would this just pass to the previous dynasty who I assume would be next in line thus I get no say in the succession?
I assume I will get nothing if they have no children essentially.
Incidentally she also has a claim on Norway, I was thinking of DoWing both Denmark and Norway (after the current King drowns in his bath), but am not sure I can take both on at the same time, Norway alone is a bit much in any case at this stage, as once I have pressed one she won't be in my court any longer thus I can no longer press more claims.
Thanks in advance for any pointers, although I think I already know what will happen.
