Only 12 HRE princesses were daughters of counts, compared to 13 daughters of dukes, 17 daughters of kings, and 5 daughters of emperors. Of those 12, several counts were considered peers, that is, of equal rank to a duke (remember that, for example, the counts of Toulous and Barcelona are depicted as dukes in game, for this very reason).

Generally, the later the date, the higher the empresses father's title. There are 7 counts during the Carolingian time, and only 5 from the Ottonians onward. The last count's daughter was crowned in 1390, and she belonged to an extremely prestigious family (and her father was also considered a peer).
