Hi, at my new play through I'm starting up as a count (again) Guy I of Macon and married another female Countess of Hainut. However, the last wife's sons don't show as blood kin. Is it some kind of glitch?

My count's previous four wives' children all show the blood kin icon. (didn't murder any wives, my character just lived to 77 years old so most wives simply died before me), but the new one (who hasn't been married previously) bear two children that don't show as blood kin. Is being cheated by your wife coded in the game? :D

Click on the children and see who thier father is, it's possible that she had a lover before you married, but, I'm pretty sure the game would tell you she had children that weren't yours.

I'm not sure if she had a son before marriage, might have one, had been a while (10 years in the game) so cannot quite remember.

In the character screen it still shows parents (father side) as my character. Is there anyway to check when was the marriage so I can at least know if the first son was born before being married.

Hmm just checked the family tree and found my count actually had 5 wives already, this is the six one. One died within a year without children so I don't remember her at all. It doesn't show marriage date though.

There are no ways to find out the lover....

////

Not sure if more glitches but there are other weird things happening in my game this round.

Such as after successful independence from my liege (duke), I (as a count) granted a count (Lyon) position to one of my son and granted another count (Macon I think) to another son. Then, the son who got Lyon turned into my previous liege's vassal while the other son remains to be my vassal.

Words not appearing. Sometimes the information screen just shows blank

There's also a faction plot bug. (?)

I've started a faction and had about 200% of support having the king give the throne to me, so I go to the intrigue screen and choose to demand my installation of the throne. However, he would reject and say something like this is war, up to here everything is normal, then without his land turning into red, war ended inconclusively. If I go to the diplomacy screen and choose to fight for indepence, it would work correctly though.

Also after I assassinated my previous liege (who seemed wanting to take my land away for me all the time), he left two sons who both inherited some of his land. The oldest son waged war on his younger one, so I took the leisure to rebel this moment and successfully got out control of the liege.

Then, the older son declared war again on his younger brother, and the king established medium crown authority about a weeks after the declaration. But the older son just kept attacking till the younger duke lost all his land. I thought medium crown authority stops vassals from fighting each other? Or is it that once you waged war against another vassal, having medium crown authority established after will not stop the war?

Maybe I should start a new game? This round just seems to have odd glitches (?) happening.

If you betrothed her non-matrilineal, and she accepted, she would, upon reaching age, ask for a matrilineal marriage. You probably didn't read the contract. They always do that. What you need to do in future is not click "approve" on her window, but go to marriage diplomacy tab and untick the matrilineal option and propose then. The mistake happened to me once, I had to work my way through a pile of @#$% just to keep what's mine within dynasty...

You can see in what marriage are you in by looking at the symbol below her image, when looking at yourself. If it's a woman symbol like this O+, you are in a unpurposeful matrilineal marriage. Read before approving!

Also, you can find a lover, by typing charinfo 1 in console, and then mousing over a character who's lover you want to find.
