This is a repeated issue I'm having in a game. After divorcing from my first wife, my King marries a Duchess and every time it forces it into a matrillineal marriage. I thought maybe the check mark had been clicked and I just hadn't seen it, but I divorced this wife, made sure that it was set up as a normal marriage, collected by duty...and it reported it as a matrilineal marriage.

1.05f. It only seems to happen after I divorce a previous wife. Don't know if it's related or not but I never had any problems with marriage until after the divorce (game mimicking reality? :D)

I've been having this bug after a betrothal. I've had it twice now, once with my heir which ruined the game I was in.

What happens is:

You arrange a betrothal between a male character and a female who is under 16 and so cannot marry yet.
When the female reaches 16, you get a notification that allows you to send the marriage request, and you get a letter from the liege of the female character with accept/decline.
If you send your own marriage request from the notification, then the marriage will be normal. However, if you simply click "accept" on the request from the NPC then the marriage magically becomes matrilineal - it's not even in the small print anywhere.

I am running v1.05g I think

I have discovered much the same thing. This bug (or is it an intentional "feature"?) nearly wiped out my whole dynasty.

I had this issue occur in 1.05 and just had it occur again in 1.06. Sorry for bumping another thread with this topic, but this is the exact issue I'm experiencing. I have a save from 1.06 with this issue (matrilineal marriage notice is currently on the screen for a standard betrothal) if needed.
