I think I know the answer to this already ("no"), but is there any way to make marriage more or less desirable, or to restrict it specifically between two people? I am wondering if one can specifically make x a less desirable coupling for y and vice-versa, but not undesirable for x and z.

Even more specifically, assume you have a character trait 'jets' and a character trait 'sharks'; can you make it so jets don't want to marry sharks, or want it less, or simply won't?

No you can only workaround it with events that automatically divorce the character immediately. These events need to be hooked into the marriage on actions hooks and check if each character is valid to marry each other and if not divorce them and move them back to their old courts. look at the Agot mod and warhammer mods for examples.

Well, if you really delved into it, i imagine you could tease out the prestige effects of marriage for each individual marriage and then minus that - through absurdly extensive trigger structures. I think more of an issue is that there's nothing to keep those two from immediately remarrying, since the ai already decided it was a relatively good match.

Also does nothing for the 'undesirable' rather than 'unable' idea.

Too bad they can't at least give us an extra 1-5 bonus/malus on wedding deals to set ourselves; they wouldn't even have to give us the underlying code.
