Playing as the Byz Empire. Things are going smoothly and I have many many kingdom vassals. I have a daughter with no claims of importance and the Holy Roman Emperor wants to marry her.

I am divided on this. She has no claims to mention, but she stands to become a pretender to the throne when my son inherits. Am I correct to say this is a dangerous proposition for me?

She might not have claims now, but as soon as you and her mother die she will inherit claims on all land owned by both of you, and if she is high on the line of succession and becomes a pretender, the HR Emperor can declare war. A way to avoid this is to have agnatic succession, since a woman's claim cannot be pressed on agnatic titles. The point is, only do it if you can beat back the invasion he could launch against you.
