Seems like to have full Eu4 experience, you have to pay 500$.. It is not normal anymore. And the funny thing is that 90% of the Paradox community accept this kind of threatment and even protect the studios 'DLC-policies'.
I'm torn in this issue. I played the original version of EU IV, then made a long break and came back shortly after Cossacks was released and boy, did that game change! Of course if you sum it all up the price for the game is ridiculous, but in the end you get a well thought out game. You have to decide what you want to pay for. I mean You can just buy the original game and pretend the DLCs never happened, right? But this way You'll never get the stuff that has been added as a result of "lessons learned" from years of gameplay and constant maintenance. I wish Paradox would've shown as much love to Vic II as they showed to EU IV.
If DLCs are the best way to keep a game alive and not leave the customers with a half-finished game, so be it. If you know of a better way, tell us.
