(you) managed to be stupid with most of your armies. My stupidity, on the other hand, arrived in waves and wasn't wiped out all at once.

I had been playing HOI2 1.3 exclusively for a few days and up to when we started our session. I just massed my troops on the border and attacked you from as many directions as I could in order to get (nonexistent) bonusses. Not very smart but our huge battles were fun.

Problem with my manpower though was that in my rich demense provinces I raise armies of 35-45K and those armies are halved by the time they reach the front, making my functional manpower a lot lower then what the game is telling us.

Cyrus, sorry about disappearing yesterday, my modem is now entirely dead except when I'm actually talking to my ISP. Apparently the phone line does something to fix whatever problem it has. Maybe I'll have to call some free number and stay on the line all day to play. My ISP's tech reps do not strike me as an enormously competent bunch, but they did give me some advice I'll try tonight. Hope that works, or I may not be able to play this weekend.

Incidentally, are we playing at all this week? Thanksgiving is a silly holiday, to be sure, but I know how attached you colonials are to your quaint native customs. And now Lurken is disappearing as well.

Speaking of our next session it would seem we have a bit of a dilemma. We have only progressed a mere ten years in the past two sessions. We need to march on and put years under our belts. I do recall stating that we would play on, no matter what. But this is a group affair and I will let the whole decide. Therefore, cast your vote as to whether we should play on and if you will be there. I Look forward to hearing from you. I will post the most recent weekly update as soon as I can. I am truly sorry about the delay as I have been over loaded with work, as a matter of fact I am writing this from work.

Im in with the new beta and everything, stupid RAR. Besides that I hope I can actually play online, Ive never had a problem before with anyother online game. Its ok that yay disapeared king I was getting rather frustraded and gave up for the night. Im good now.

PS:Just a hint to you players though I'm not a major expansionist, I'm more defend the territory I have and deal in diplomacy to get a foot hold and screw everybody up lol.

Weekly Game Update


We played at Below Normal for most of the game with 8 players. We played from June 27 1335 to September 19 1340. Newest game MAP is up. I’ve purged and zipped the most recent game save which can be downloaded from here.

The players this session:

• Ear - King of Hungary
• KoM - King of Norway
• cheech - King of France
• Dominus - King of England modem trouble
• Blackeye - Emperor of Byzantium
• Lurken - King of Castille

We had 4 game stops. I’ll list the causes for each stop:

• Stopped to fix strange event with Lurken’s Kingdom
• Dom CTD, modem trouble
• Dom CTD, modem trouble
• Reached posted end time, consensus was to stop.

A huge war ensued this session. Gonna have to wait for the players to write AARs to read about it. A pretty good session, but we aren’t making enough time. We have some interested players let’s hope they show up and add to the diplomatic intrigue of the game.
