Opinion mapmode:

- Only shows opinion of other nations relative to the selected nation
- Useful would also be the inverse (opinion of selected nation to other nations)
- This would allow the player to figure out possible alliances etc.
- Maybe right/leftclick sensitive (currently right-click defaults to the user-controlled nations)

Rival mapmode:

- Only works for user-controlled nation, which is quite the limited mapmode
- Why is it not possible to select another nation and see its rivals?
- This mapmode could possibly be merged with the opinion mapmode (stripes/icons for rivals), since it is similar in content type and quite limited on its own

Diplomatic mapmode/Sometimes this also is the case in other mapmodes:

- Left/Rightclick behavior not always immediately clear to the user what it does, it is not documented anywhere (for example in Cultures mapmode)
- Sometimes the user has to left-click on a country in a certain mapmode
- At that point the province screen always opens, which is annoying when I just want to look at diplomatic/religious/culture information on a nation-level -> it hides a part of the UI, is not relevant to what I want to do, and simply in the way

If one of the desired features is already in the game, please let me know. Thanks for the great game!

In general, all this stuff exists already., in the more advanced manors mapmodes.
The opinion map is exactly there. It shows the modifiers if you hold your pointer above a nation, too. So you can easily see which rivals a nation has, because they have the most negative opinion in general.
Furthermore, you enter the diplomatic view of a country by right-clicking on one of its provinces. However, for more details, you'd better use the ledger.
