Map totally screwed up... :(

I'm running a clear, freshly reinstalled copy of CK2 (after uninstalling the game I manually removed all leftovers from MyDocuments and Steam folders)... And still this issue remains. I've also tried removing map cache and doing all the tricks I know to make CK2 work properly - but to no avail. The checksum also matches the one for the current patch (2.2), so... Please help me...

It can really only be that your attempt to clean up after the uninstall missed something, or the re-install failed in some way.

After doing Delete Local Contents from Steam, you went to steam/steamapps/common/ck2/ and there was nothing there at all? To documents/paradox/ck2/ and manually deleted everything - files AND folders - except the /save games/ folder?

May i suggest:

- Localisation text has numerous errors in the Steam Polish edition, even when played in English. To fix right-click on the game in Steam, Properties, Language, and set to English, not Polish (or if English already, set to Polish - wait for update - then set to English again) - wait for Steam to download the new localisations. Note this is not the same as changing the language within the game.
UPDATE: temporary fix provided by Cenega is attached to this post.

Not that this has to be the case, but his location is Poland, so maybe relevant. It was relevant in another thread just yesterday.

Any idea if Cenega still updates and thus an issue with the language settings as described or are people just downloading the temporary fix ?
Sadly, i got no response of what they did, only pretty general positiv feedback.

No idea, sorry, that information was got for us by a Polish user here who contacted Cenega themselves.

Jedrek, as you are here, do you know if Cenega offers updates for the polish localisation ?
I'm under the impression most play in english anyway, but it would be handy to know for the future.

Ah, okay. It's just that my polish skills are not that good *ahem* and trying to read or find anything on Cenegas page doesn't get me anywhere. :laugh:
But i guess nearly no one plays in polish by now anymore ..
