That's only a single city that NOW count 17.000 people. So a 5-6.000 people town in 1450 need to count as a whole province? Even if in 1450 was neither a REAL port?
They controlled everything including that port. " Although Klaipėda (Memel) passed into the hands of the German feudal lords under the Treaty of Melno, in 1422, Palanga and Šventoji remained under Lithuanian control. The two towns gradually developed into harbours and even greater centers of trade."
detailed map:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/bb/Polska_1386_-_1434.png

I'll add that what I love the most about the new map is that with the added provinces both the Teutons and Pomerania should provide a greater challenge for Poland.

Decent.... Wallachia starts with 3 provinces now, but its still way to less when you think that it has the same size of Scotland and much more population. Wallachia should be a Scotland of the Balkans same for Moldavia.
PS : Targoviste should be split in 2 , with the northern part named Muntenia and the southern part Ilfov. Muntenia ( english translation Highlands) should have Targoviste as its main city and Ilfov would have Bucharest (modern day capital )
The so called province of Buzau shoul be called Baragan (Baragan plains) with the main city of Braila. This changes would be more historical correct.
And maybe in the future we would see a new province for Moldavia in the north named Bucovina with the main city of Suceava( medieval capital of Moldavia and important stronghold at that time)

If the name of the game was "number of provinces related to population", compared to Scotland, Lombardy alone (Lombardy plus Brescia plus Cremona plus Mantua) should be divided in 20 or so provinces. Wallachia COULD get some more, though, that much is true.

On the side note Milan has a big base tax to represent the big urban population that it had, but it is just a city...

No, not really. The entire region was extremely populated - only living in cities of 10,000 or more there were some 280,000 people, and they accounted for 20% of the population - an absurdly high percentage for the age. And as for why they didn't become a major power... they almost did, really, under Gian Galeazzo Visconti; in 1402 Milan reigned over everything of importance north of Rome and south of the Alps, and had beaten off "coalition wars" by the Emperor and the rest of the Italian states - all at once, one time. Ultimately, Italy fell into a status quo too rigid to be broken from the inside.

What does all these extra provinces do with gamespeed? I already cannot run the game higher then speed 4, while I could run it at speed 5 easily in the past. Does this mean I have to drop down to speed 3 now?

We're only adding about 50 provinces this time, speed impact should be near-zero.

I'm guessing Moldavia is around 50? Historically Moldavia was a bit richer than Wallachia, plus it was this way in previous versions, so it would make sense to keep the proportion.

Wallachia & Moldavia payd to the ottomans a anual tribute of 50.k + golden ducats each at the start of the XVI century and at the end of the XVI it hited 100k+, same is applyed for Transylvania.
Plus at that time both principalitys could raise considerable armys to face the ottomans... the greates was a 55k moldavian army lead by Stephan the Great wher he defeted 100k ottomans at the battle of Vaslui.... but i know its a game... cant do this...

What you're asking for is a different problem and one that can't be solved with the current game design: asymmetrical warfare (i.e. guerilla warfare). That's the only way a minor nation could "win" a war. In EU4 it's all about numbers.
We could complain about this but there's no point as I don't see how this could be fixed in EU 4 without a major rework, and one which would bring little benefits.
They need to think about this, and add it from the start, as part of the game design, in EU 5. But for now, as I said, there's little benefit to discuss it.

Well it was a battel in swamp, he was a 3 star general 5/5/5 , had good rolls and the ottomans forgot to put a general on ther army
