The first feature I propose it selecting multiple provinces, but in a way that is actually helpful.
Here's the mockup:
In this example, the player has shift-clicked both Wien and Ostmark. For the display the province sheet combines the base tax, MP and production. The combined war score cost and development cost are the most useful, especially for pre planning what you will take in your next war or how much admin coring will cost. This will also integrate nicely with "Areas", and you could for example double click on a province to select it's whole area. This leads me to the second aspect of map planning: Scribbling.
Here is an example from the dev multiplayer game. In this example, Austria, Germany and Italy want to eat France. So they go to the scribble tab and Add a scribble. They select regions and add borders around them. They add arrows to where troops will move. Lastly, they add other players to the scribble so that they can see the plan.
Netherlands gets a message from Germany that Germany wants to invade France, Germany shares his scribble with the Netherlands and Austria. The game automatically creates a group chat for it and there they plan the conquests.
This feature will be priceless for campaigns where you want to control a certain area, such as for Achievements or casual games. The constant counting of total development and warscore in your head will be no more and a cleaner, more organised system will be present.
These features aren't fully developed or planned out, but the general idea will help sooooo much, both in single and multiplayer.
