why is it the best states always havethe most provinces?

I think back in one of the threads where people were frightened that Spain had too few provinces, and the Spanish community felt they were misrepresented, Johan said more provinces does not equal a better country.

I believe that. Obviously a nation with 2 or 3 provinces is going to have a tough time. But it seems unclear to me that a 25 province major is going to be sooo much worse than a 40 province major. After all in EU2 Russia could get 75+ provinces easy, the Ottomans could get dwarf other european nations, but in many ways those provinces weren't nearly as good manpower/gold wise as Italy or especially some crucial provinces like tenochitlan or the bigger CoTs. Untill we know about factors like province income, manpower, slider settings ect work out its too soon to raise balance issues.

They mock the struggles of your people.

If there's one map that's horrific, it's the EU2 map.

Come on, the game was very fun in spite of the graphics, but it's not like they were EU2's greatest feature.

You coudn't even play the game in political mode for chrissake!

That said, I liked the utilitarian color-coded map. The terrain maps for CK and Vicky aren't utilitarian enough, imo.
