I've looked all over but haven't found anyone even mention a similar problem to this, but it's really ruining my gameplay and I need some help.
The political map mode in EU4 works fine, to an extent. But when I try to change map modes to, say, trade or diplomatic, the colours of the provinces don't change at all. If I change to the religious map mode you can see the words "CATHOLIC" and "PROTESTANT" but still no colour change. Not only is this a problem, obviously, but when a province is taken in a war I can see the border change but the colour of the province remains the same. It's seriously frustrating because I can't tell what's what.
The only short-term fix I found was to alt-tab out and then back in and it refreshes, but naturally this isn't practical. Can anyone help me? Here's a few photos of what I'm talking about.
