Has anyone tried adding two separate sea zones joined by a portage since 1.10?
How does the AI handle it, if it works?

It seems that my adjacencies.csv is not working at all, resulting in a crash at calculating paths (because I therefore have no portages, sea crossings, or major river crossings). When I look at the setup log, it's not showing any adjacencies being calculated between provinces for which I have defined connections in the csv. The code is extremely simple because I don't have many rivers or islands, but I can't find the problem with it. Here's the contents of my adjacencies.csv :
Edit: For example, when I look at the setup log it shows province 424, a small island, adjacent only to province 492, the sea surrounding it, when it should also be adjacent to provinces 422, 423, and 425, which form the nearby coast. I assume the game is crashing at this stage (just prior to initializing the map) because it is not calculating any of the four portages either, and it does not like to run without them since 1.10.
Double Edit: Does the engine calculate all of the direct connections first and then go back and check the adjacencies.csv? This would suggest that if there's nothing wrong with the csv, there's something wrong with a process that goes on in between.
I noticed also something else with adjacencies. If you have commented lines (beginning by #) then the engine seems to forget to take account of lines sometimes before, sometimes after the commented line.
Is there somewhere in this topic a tutorial on how to create a new map ?
I'll will try something and if I fail (and I obviously will) I'll contact you. There's this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFtGv0iMYAY
If you want to make a good modern day map contact me. I think I found a good approach to get a good result and even started to work on it.

Also, what are the good dimensions for a map ?
Can someone just take a look at this map and see why it's crashing? I used JonStryker's tool for creating the definition, and I'm pretty sure the adjacencies and default.map are fine, but it still crashes just prior to initializing map. It also does not load in CW Map Checker, which is strange because when I did the definitions manually the map checker worked fine. I have not been able to get a custom map to load since 1.10 was released, and I really don't know what change it is that I'm missing.

Heres a version of the map I made with Jon's map filling tool
https://www.dropbox.com/s/p8gu9kew6sx0j8y/DA Mod Test 2.rar
When opened with Jon's Scenario Editor, the first map has provinces with null values (Val Royeaux|null) while this new one doesnt (Val Royeaux|c_val_royeaux)
Make sure that Excel does not replace '(C)' with '©'. The tool does not like that. But I guess this doesn't solve your problem (if there even is one).
Yeah, im not much of an Excel guy so I have no idea how to change that. The tool gets the idea though and still makes it a city apparently.
Fixed the (C) problem, still crashes at either 'calculating naval ranges' if I dont have any major rivers AND seas and also at 'loading graphics' if I have major river and seas.
