Thankfully it wasn't anything weird this time. A couple of titular titles had been transferred into De Jure by Paradox's patch, so I still had them in that section (can't use WinMerge for titles since the structure is too different. Frakking fantasy Empires) and c_penfro still had the "c_pembroke.tga" English name.

I discovered something your "fix" by splitting the titles caused, though, strangely: The Byzantine Empire is gone from De Jure. It still exists and is a title the ERE Emperor holds, but it doesn't exist on the map anymore. Any mistake you made in splitting it or is there another culprit? :mellow:

Think we might have another culprit sadly, although I am not sure what exactly.

I've been adding provinces to the Warhammer Fantasy mod, but these weird errors are only multiplying. I'm certain that I'm not missing any brackets or anything like that, these weird things just happen.

Here you see most of what's in. Estalia in the south, Empire in the middle, Norsca in the north. All the de jure empires, kingdoms, duchies as well as the baronies are in, with all of the counties set to have all their holdings built up to whatever their max capacity is. You can already see some problems, though.

Here's a county from Talabecland. The files say it has three built holdings out of three built holdings, but it claims to have two unbuilt holdings. It is a mystery. Most of the counties match up, but a good number have this error, with the number of unbuilt holdings varying. None of them lack enough slots to put all the desired holdings in, though.

This guy was randomly generated at start, and is count of both Rugard in Fimbul, and Teufel in Reikland. Teufel is marked as de jure Fimbul and Reikland at the same time.

Usually your best bet is to upload stuff, people might not say something but still look inside and then report if they do spot a problem.

Things like this are generally caused by having the same barony in multiple places in Landed_titles.txt or in province histories.

I'll second Keanon on throwing up something to take a look at.

I'm tinkering with adding some extra provinces to the Winter King map (carving out my own kingdom, didn't want to disrupt the pre-existing ones though). I haven't adding any new landmasses, just carved out new provinces from old ones. I've successfully added islands and provinces to CK2 maps before, but for some reason I cannot get it to work this time.

Did you make sure to move the sea provinces up? First sea province needs to have a higher province number than last land province.

Really? I didn't know that was the case.

So I have 201 actual provinces total (set to max provinces 202 in default.map) with 182 of them land. I actually need to have the first sea province be at 182, the last land at 183, and the rest of the sea continuing after? Or do I need to have all the sea provinces in there and set the last land province as 201?

Yes, you can do it with the same NVidia plugin that lets you edit and save .dds files. If you use Photoshop I can tell you the settings that work for me. But to tell the truth, I'm not really sure it does anything, either... if it does, the effect must be really subtle.

Hi, can you tell me which settings you used to make your world_map_height file?
Much appreciated :)

How do I go about setting up the map file for trees? It seems to be the only one that prevents my lil' map from loading as that's what the game crashes on when it tried to load the map...

Whatever is required so that the game doesn't crash when I try to load it up. Doesn't matter if it actually has trees on it ingame as all I need is for it to work well enough for testing purposes.
