Map mod CTD's when I start a new game

My map mod works fine on the character selection screen, but when starting a new game it always CTD's. These are the only two lines in the error logs:

- [gfx_dx9.cpp:1450]: Error create vertices -2005530516 8 0 28
- [gfx_dx9.cpp:1453]: managed

No idea what those mean, so I'm just going to post them here with the mod and see if someone can help me.

Never mind, I was able to fix it. It was my provinces.bmp: I've been using gimp and was checking "Do not write color space information" when I exported it. Unchecked it and the game loads normally... unfortunately there was a bit of a catch. I'll make another post to deal with the side effects as soon as I can.
