Map Editor Question

I’ve been trying to figure out how to use the HOI map editor to add other countries. My question for someone in this forum is, do you have to be a programmer just to add a country??? Why is it so difficult… it should just be easily selectable in the editor. All I’m trying to do is add more countries like Egypt, India, Israel, Pakistan, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The map part of the mod is basically finished. I would suggest doing a tutorial or something at Harvard's HoI Hacking Haven. A lot of the countries like Egypt and India can be added within the editor fairly easily, but the ones that aren't programmed into the game have to be assigned their name through some textfile editing.
