I would prefer a 3d globe... small provinces all over the world, smaller sea provinces ... but I am sure, we will not get it

Also what disturbes me on the alpha state map is the east border of Finland.

That's what disturbs you? Haven't you noticed the green glob of goo that dropped on Bulgaria from heavens and enabled the Yugoslavs to conquer half the country?
